I won't say which ones I missed, so I don't give any hints! But lets just say I hate the Big East!!! I also missed one from the ACC.

The extend of my devotion to UK is a little scary. I still can't watch Christian Laettner's shot without freaking out (I'm only a little comforted by the fact that he did nothing in the NBA). I could never date Erin Andrews because she went to Florida, a huge character flaw. And I wasn't surprised by Tony Delk's 50-point game in the NBA.

The state of Florida has more non-BCS programs — Central Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida International and South Florida — than BCS schools, and three of them went bowling last season. The Sunshine State is just one major program away from being able to form its own conference that is as large, and certainly more competitive, than the Big East.

Heh. I just got a big laugh out of the idea that the state of Florida alone could form a more competitive conference than the entire Big East.

In case you missed the 4 a.m. press conference on ION, CardChronicle.com has declared Monday, July 7 "Louisville Football Doesn't Exist Day." Supporters of the gridiron Cards are encouraged to not talk, read or write about the program until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. Participants are also being asked to control their thoughts as much as possible. We've got two months to say all the things that need to be said, but right now I think the best move for all of us would be to just sit the next 24 hours out.

Man. I have had some fun at the Cardinals expense, but so help me, I am beginning to feel actual sympathy for them at this point. They are a rival, but no program deserves what the Louisville team has suffered this summer. Certainly no new coach should have to suffer such depredations so early in his career.

I truly hope this young man will be OK. I have taken the liberty of a little joy in some of the recent struggles of U of L football, but this is tragic for the young man.

I hope he will be OK, and I wish him a speedy, full recovery. Kragthorpe should warn players to stay away from that club, it apparently attracts a bad element, and I don't mean the U of L players.

Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan just secured an oral commitment from 15-year-old Winter Park guard Austin Rivers, the youngest commitment in his 12 seasons at UF. Austin is the son of Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers. This is either a case of Donovan outworking other programs or an effort to keep up with Kentucky's Billy Gillispie and his Junior High Kids 'R Us recruiting strategy. ...

Did you see where Doc Rivers' 15-year-old son Austin Rivers, who isn't even yet a sophomore at Winter Park High School, has orally committed to play basketball for Billy Donovan at the University of Florida? Forget Oak Hill Academy; it's only a matter of time before Billy gets a commitment from the top prospect at La Petite Academy. I like Steve Kragthorpe and no, not because he led Louisville to a rough season last year. I think the guy is a great coach and great man. I have been in several settings around Coach Kragthorpe and have always come away impressed. I truly believe he was given the keys to the insane asylum last year and has had the unfortunate task of trying to clean up the character mess Bobby Petrino left behind.
